We sat down with Hoag Concierge Medicine’s Medical Director, Dr. James Lindberg, to ask him a few questions about concierge medicine, internal medicine, and the impact these specialties have on his patients. Dr. Lindberg received his medical qualification from the University of California, Irvine, and fulfilled his residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the UCI Medical Center. Previously, he was President at the Orange County Heart Association and has often been invited to speak on topics related to health care and disease prevention, addressing both medical professionals and leaders in the field.
What are the Advantages of Concierge Medicine?
“The real advantage of Concierge Medicine, and the reason I enjoy it so much, is because I have plenty of time to spend with my patients. We schedule more than enough time for each and every visit so we can completely review whatever questions a patient might have. It keeps people healthier because they get their questions answered on time and we can address things before they become an issue.”
What Do You Like Best About Being a Concierge Doctor?
“What I like best about my job is the people. It really is all about the patients. Many of my patients I’ve known for 15 years or more and concierge medicine is about relationships. It’s about building a relationship with the patients I have.”
“Dr. Lindberg is undoubtedly the golden standard of what a healthcare physician should be. I am beyond grateful for my ongoing relationship with Dr. Lindberg as my primary doctor.” – Patient of Dr. Lindberg
